So yesterday I have migrated to the Windows Vista Ultima 64-bit version. So far I like it. Even though everyone says it is slow and unstable, I can’t really agree with that.
In terms of the speed, it isn’t slower than my XP, and in some things it is much faster (For example Paint Shop installed at least three times quicker than on XP). There are occasional lags when entering Computer and then some partition, but truth be told they are really sporadic.
In terms of stability – I can’t complain. Generally it seems to be working better. On XP some of the things didn’t work, and on Vista some don’t work too. BUT the more important ones are flawless (GFX driver) while the less important don’t (Camera), which was opposite on my former O/S. Now I can change the screen brightness!
And one more important thing – the battery live has been lengthened approximately by 50%.
So, pretty much, I am content :).
Also, there is a game which I strongly recommend to everyone! You Have To Burn The Rope – the ending song rocks totally!
Besides of that, I’ve got a slight fever, and two mock final-exams tomorrow and day after tomorrow (English extended and Mathematics extended), and also not much work done. Cage has a fever too, and I am a bit reluctant to work with no graphics (at least the thing I am working on now).
